Polycom PVX software can be downloaded from the internet or comes delivered on a CD-Rom. The software version that is delivered on the CD-ROM may not be the latest version available. It is best to check on the Polycom internet site (http://extranet.polycom.com/) to ensure that the latest version will be installed. Also, the software comes with a 90 day update policy that allows the installation of any new version that is released within 3 months from purchase date. The license number (key) for your installation is printed on the back of the CD-ROM box. The license key is required to obtain an activation key code that will allow the software to function beyond the 5 minute time limit allowed for testing and evaluation. The process of activating the software on your desktop is a two stage process.
After starting the PVX software, click on the
information icon
If previously entered, the "License Number" displayed should be the same number that was used to retrieve the Activation Key Code. Next, click on the "Activate" button. The System Information screen will be replaced with the "Activation Software" window.
Enter the "License Number" if blank, and than enter the "Activation Key Code". When completed, click on the "Activate" button. If all entries are correct the software will no longer have a 5 minute time limit and all functionality will be available for use.
